Krachi East: Mr. Safo Nketia, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Krachi East Municipality, has taken steps to address the issue of uncollected Ghana Cards in the municipality. He recently held discussions with officials from the National Identification Authority (NIA) to explore possible solutions to the problem.

According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Nketia emphasized the importance of the Ghana Card for identity verification and access to essential services. He acknowledged that some citizens might have forgotten or were unable to collect their cards, and he proposed outreach initiatives to encourage the collection process. These initiatives include community programs, door-to-door campaigns, and reminders through local media.

The MCE has pledged the municipal Assembly's full support to facilitate the collection of Ghana Cards, ensuring that citizens can access the services they need. During a meeting with the MCE, the Municipal Director of the NIA, Mr. Jacob Sey, urged the Municipal Assembly to assist in addressing challenges that hinder the office's operations. He specifically highlighted the need for support in acquiring printing machines for Ghana Cards and renovating their offices. Mr. Sey expressed hope that the Municipal Assembly's support would improve the office's efficiency in serving the community.
