Dambai: A Kia Rhino vehicle with registration number GS4379-12 was involved in an accident on the Dambai-Asukawkaw Highway at Anyabor No.2. Madam Janet Nkrumah, a passenger, recounted the incident to the Ghana News Agency (GNA), stating that it occurred when a motorcyclist, attempting to overtake their vehicle, dropped his phone.
According to Ghana News Agency, the motorcyclist stopped to retrieve his phone, and in an attempt to avoid hitting him, the Kia driver crashed into a gutter. Madam Nkrumah reported that several passengers sustained injuries and were taken to a health facility in Dambai for medical treatment.
Police officers from the Motor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD) arrived at the scene to assess the situation and document the incident. The GNA noted that some passengers at the scene had minor cuts on their faces and were seeking alternative transportation to return to Dambai.
