Juaboso District Health Directorate Receives Incubators and Motorcycles

Juaboso: Mr Kwabena Mintah Ankando, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Juaboso in the Western North Region, has made a significant contribution to the Juaboso District Health Directorate by donating 10 motorcycles and five incubators. These donations are intended for distribution among healthcare facilities in the area.

According to Ghana News Agency, the incubators are set to be allocated to the Juaboso Government Hospital and the Kofikrom SDA Hospital. Meanwhile, the motorcycles will be distributed to 10 selected Community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) Compounds within the district. Mr Ankandoh, who also serves as the Minister for Health, emphasized that these donations are part of broader efforts to enhance healthcare service delivery in the district.

Mr Ankandoh noted that the gesture responds to requests from hospital staff and aligns with the government's commitment to bolstering maternal and child health services. The motorcycles are expected to enhance outreach services, allowing health professionals to access remote areas. Meanwhile, the incubators aim to improve neonatal care and increase survival rates for premature infants.

Dr Deborah Mensah, the Juaboso District Director of Health, expressed her gratitude to the Minister for this initiative. She highlighted that the equipment would significantly impact healthcare services across the district.
