Gwiraman Traditional Council Provides Exercise Books to Nzema-East Schoolchildren

Bamiankor: The Gwiraman Traditional Council has donated exercise books to the Nzema-East Municipal Assembly, aimed at benefiting schoolchildren in the Gwira area. The donation was made by Awulae Angama-Tu Agyan, the Paramount Chief of the Gwira area and President of the Gwiraman Traditional Council, during the Egila Yam Festival's launch at Bamiankor in the Nzema-East Municipality of the Western Region.

According to Ghana News Agency, the Paramount Chief highlighted that the donation is part of the Council's efforts to support the provision of educational materials, thereby enhancing the quality of teaching and learning. He also discussed the Council's previous efforts to improve facilities at Gwiraman Senior High School to boost academic performance.

Awulae Angama-Tu Agyan urged the government to address the educational needs of the area, including the construction of classroom blocks and the provision of teachers and necessary resources. He noted that teachers frequently request transfers from Gwiraman Senior High School, signaling a need for a stable teaching staff.

Mr. Herbert Kuah-Dickson, the Municipal Chief Executive of Nzema-East, accepted the books on behalf of the Education Directorate and expressed appreciation for the Gwiraman Traditional Council's ongoing educational support. He assured that the Assembly is committed to enhancing educational infrastructure and mentioned that a portion of the District Assembly Common Fund would be allocated to education in Gwira.
