Accra: The ninth edition of the Ghana International Trade and Finance Conference (GITFiC 2025) is set to take place from October 29 to November 2, 2025, in Accra.
According to Ghana News Agency, this year's conference will feature the second Global Debt Initiative (GDI), focusing on advancing collective solutions for global debt sustainability.
The main theme of the conference is 'Spurring GITFiC's Global Debt Initiative; Consolidating Member States' Gains for Synergistic Impacts' and it is organized in collaboration with the National Technical Working Committee of the GITFiC Agenda 2031. The event will also include the inaugural AfCFTA Tertiary Students' Congress, designed to empower Africa's next generation to influence the future of trade and finance.
The conference is expected to draw participation from Heads of State, Ministers, Governors of Central Banks, International Development Experts, Global Economists, Business Leaders, Academia, and Civil Society. They will engage in dialogue on debt, trade, and regional integration under the AfCFTA framework.
Participants anticipate discussions, networking opportunities, and actionable outcomes that will influence Africa's financial and trade landscape. The Ghana International Trade and Finance Conference, a subsidiary of Rescue Shipping and Investment Agency Ltd, has evolved into a Pan-African event, having been previously held at the AU Headquarters in partnership with the Addis Ababa Chamber of Commerce and Sectoral Associations in 2019.
GITFiC continues to gather business executives, policymakers, and experts globally to explore ways of enhancing inter-Africa trade, regional integration, and trade policies, contributing to Africa's positioning as a significant entity in global trade.
