Accra: The Ghana-China Friendship Association (GHACHIFA) has expressed appreciation for the efforts of President John Dramani Mahama and China's President Xi Jinping in enhancing the bilateral relationship between Ghana and China.
According to Ghana News Agency, GHACHIFA released a statement signed by its General Secretary, Dr. Benjamin Anyagre, highlighting the ongoing cooperation between the two nations. The statement emphasized the historical roots of this relationship, originally initiated by Chairman Mao Zedong and Ghana's first President, Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah. GHACHIFA praised the renewed dedication to mutual development and diplomacy between the countries.
The association acknowledged the strategic collaboration based on respect for sovereignty and the welfare of the peoples involved, noting its significance as a model of resilience and mutual respect. GHACHIFA reiterated its support for the People's Republic of China, the One-China Principle, and the Three Joint Communiqu©s, which underpin the diplomatic relations between the two countries.
