ACCRA: The Judicial Service Staff Association of Ghana (JUSAG) has called upon the government to expedite the processes involved in reviewing the salaries of its members. Highlighting the urgency of the matter, JUSAG emphasized the importance of swift action in its new year message to ensure fair compensation for its members.
According to Ghana News Agency, JUSAG is closely observing the progress related to the proposed salary review. The association has expressed its readiness to employ various industrial action tools should the government delay the approval and implementation process. JUSAG remains committed to securing a timely approval of the new salary structure, urging members for patience and support during this period.
JUSAG also praised its members for their professionalism during the 2024 general elections, acknowledging their adherence to the Judicial Service code of ethics, including political neutrality and integrity. This adherence, according to the association, played a significant role in maintaining the independence and competence of the judiciary and the Judicial Service.
The association also addressed the ongoing post-election disputes, noting that several election-related cases remain pending in various courts. JUSAG urged its members to continue upholding professional ethics as they advocate for improved conditions of service.
