Berekum: Residents of Nyamebekyere in the Berekum Municipality have called for improved police visibility and intensified night patrols. The call follows the discovery of a lifeless body of a man within his 40s in the area.
According to Ghana News Agency, the residents found the lifeless body lying prostrate behind the Church of Pentecost building in the area, with blood stains in the early hours of Sunday, August 17, 2025. The police had picked up the body, as investigations continued. No arrest had been made so far.
The residents expressed their disturbance about the incident, urging the police to intensify night patrols in the area. Some of them who identified the deceased said he was a native of Jinijini in the Berekum West District and resided at Ahenbornoso in the Municipality.
