At Least 70 Terrorists Eliminated in Military Operations in Mali: Army

Bamako: The Malian army announced on Sunday that over 70 terrorists were killed during military operations conducted earlier this week in northern and central Mali. These operations are part of ongoing efforts to stabilize the region.

According to Ghana News Agency, the first operation took place on July 15. It was conducted in collaboration with air forces from the Alliance of Sahel States, resulting in the elimination of approximately 40 terrorists in the Anderamboukan area in northern Mali.

The second operation was carried out two days later and led to the destruction of a terrorist logistics and training base in the Niono area in central Mali. This resulted in the deaths of about 30 terrorists, as highlighted in the army's statement.

Mali has been grappling with a complex crisis since 2012. This crisis is characterized by separatist rebellions, jihadist activities, and intercommunal violence, which have resulted in thousands of deaths and the displacement of hundreds of thousands of people.
