Keta: Mr Johnson Asiedu Nketia, the National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has encouraged party faithfuls and residents of Keta to maintain their trust if they have not yet received appointments or employment from the current Mahama-led administration. He mentioned that the party is relatively new in governance and requires time to restructure the nation's various sectors to enhance employment opportunities.
According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Nketia provided these assurances during his 'Thank you tour' at Keta Dzelukope in the Volta Region. He urged branch executives, party members, and the public to be patient as the party works on reorganizing for significant transformational achievements. He highlighted the importance of grassroots efforts in electoral victories, acknowledging the contributions of party executives and emphasizing the need to focus on the grassroots to address employment challenges.
Mr. Nketia further encouraged party executives to exceed expectations to ensure the NDC remains in power longer, thus increasing opportunities for appointments and job creation benefiting every Ghanaian. He mentioned ongoing military service recruitment across all regions as evidence of the party's commitment to equitable recruitment processes.
He also assured that developmental projects aimed at national progress, including job creation, infrastructure development, agriculture, and the Keta Port project, would be executed to tackle pressing challenges. The NDC Chairman plans to visit all 276 constituencies in the country during the thank you tour to engage with and appreciate the efforts of executives and party supporters.
The NDC executives in Keta expressed satisfaction with Chairman Nketia's thank you tour initiative and committed to supporting the party for effective governance and a victorious outcome in 2028.
