Accra: Several Arab states have welcomed the ceasefire announced by US President Trump between Israel and Iran, hoping it will lead to calm in the region. Egypt welcomed the ceasefire and said on Tuesday, it will continue its diplomatic efforts with partners to consolidate the ceasefire, and support the de-escalation process, leading to a comprehensive and sustainable settlement of the crises that threaten the stability of the region.
According to Ghana News Agency, Saudi Arabia's Foreign Ministry welcomed the ceasefire and said, it values the efforts exerted to de-escalate tensions. In Amman, the Jordanian Foreign Ministry stressed the importance of the agreement in reducing the dangerous escalation in the region, and the necessity of adhering to the agreement to protect the region from the consequences of further deterioration.
