Anloga District Chief Executive Leads Clean-Up Initiative at Dzita

Anloga: Madam Sandra Seyram Kpedor, the District Chief Executive (DCE) of the Anloga District in the Volta Region, has initiated a clean-up exercise aimed at enhancing environmental cleanliness and health in the Municipality.

According to Ghana News Agency, the exercise took place at the shores of Akplorwotorkor and Dzita, with the objective of fostering a safe environment and eradicating communicable diseases. During the activity at Dzita beach, Madam Kpedor emphasized the importance of cleanliness for environmental health, noting that maintaining these spaces could also boost tourism and economic activities, contributing to the district's development.

Madam Kpedor highlighted the community's role in maintaining a clean environment, noting the significance of collective action in achieving positive change. She stressed the benefits of such exercises, including improved health, tourism support, and district development.

She appealed to stakeholders to collaborate in maintaining cleanliness, underscoring the shared responsibility in building a healthier district. The DCE mentioned that the initiative aligns with the government's health promotion agenda, focusing on environmental cleanliness to enhance citizens' well-being.

Madam Kpedor insisted on prohibiting pollution-inducing activities on the shores, urging the community to address pollution sources proactively. Women volunteers involved in the clean-up called for institutional support with tools to facilitate their efforts.

The DCE's involvement has inspired community participation, encouraging broader engagement in future clean-up activities.
