World Head of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Extends Congratulations to Newly Elected Pope Leo XIV

Rome: The World Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community and Fifth Caliph, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, has extended his congratulations to Pope Leo XIV following his election as the head of the Catholic Church.

According to Ghana News Agency, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad expressed his well-wishes to the members of the Roman Catholic Church and their newly elected leader, formerly U.S. Cardinal Robert Prevost. Pope Leo XIV was elected by the Catholic Church's cardinals on Thursday, May 8, 2025, marking the conclusion of the conclave that sought a successor to Pope Francis, who passed away last month.

In his statement, the World Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community highlighted the critical and perilous times faced by humanity, marked by ongoing wars and violent conflicts. He stressed the urgent need for peace as the world stands on the brink of a Third World War, hoping that Pope Leo XIV will be a strong advocate for peace and harmony, and a defender of the rights of innocent people of all backgrounds.

Furthermore, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad reiterated the commitment of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community to support any efforts aimed at establishing true peace and security globally, while encouraging humanity to reconnect with its Creator.
