Western North Regional Minister Extends Eid-Ul-Adha Greetings to Muslims

Accra: Mr Petty Brentum, the Western North Regional Minister, has extended his goodwill message to all Muslims celebrating Eid-Ul-Adha in the region. He highlighted the significance of the festival, known as the feast of sacrifice, commemorating the event where Allah commanded Abraham (Ibrahim) to sacrifice his son Ishmael.

According to Ghana News Agency, Mr Brentum emphasized that Eid-Ul-Adha marks the culmination of the annual pilgrimage to the Holy land of Mecca. He noted the tradition of Muslims gathering in large numbers during this occasion to express gratitude to Almighty Allah for successfully completing the Ramadan fast.

Mr Brentum encouraged all Muslims to continue living decent lives, guided by the principles of the Holy month. He also urged them to pray for the nation, particularly for its leaders, to be blessed with wisdom, peace, and strength to contribute to Ghana's development.
