Vice President Engages Ghana Prisons Service on Key Challenges and Initiatives

Accra: Vice President Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang has held a meeting with the hierarchy of the Ghana Prisons Service, led by the Director-General, Mrs. Patience Baffoe-Bonnie. A statement issued by the office of the Vice President said during the meeting, they discussed challenges facing the Service and how they could address them.

According to Ghana News Agency, the Vice President emphasized the importance of strong public education and encouraged collaboration with other state agencies and the media. She commended the Service for its interventions, particularly its promising campaign in agriculture.

Vice President Prof Opoku-Agyemang assured the leadership of the Government's commitment to improving conditions within the Prisons Service. She stated, "As a responsible nation, it is our duty to ensure dignified conditions for inmates, to offer meaningful reforms, and to provide the necessary support for their reintegration into society."
