Accra: The Wa District Court has remanded two individuals in police custody on April 4, 2025, for their alleged involvement in multiple robberies and motorbike thefts in the Wa Metropolis.
According to Ghana News Agency, Abdulai Ibrahim, 34, and Kipo Ibrahim, 36, were apprehended on March 29, 2025, after being on the police wanted list. The Court has scheduled their next appearance for Monday, April 28, 2025.
Police presented to the Court that Abdulai and Kipo had been linked to several robbery and motorbike theft incidents in the Danko and Napogbakole areas of the Wa Metropolis. Prosecutors revealed that the suspects were captured at their hideout after successfully evading arrest for a period of time.
During a search of their hideout, authorities recovered seven motorbikes and three number plates bearing registration numbers M-24-UW 4134, M-21-UW 6468, and M-20-UW 2846.
