TWMA Donates 20 Rams to Support Eid Celebrations in Muslim Community

Tema: The Tema West Municipal Assembly (TWMA) has extended support to the Muslim community by donating 20 rams across the eleven electoral areas within its jurisdiction to aid in the celebration of Eid-al-Adha.

According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Ludwig Teye Totimeh, the Tema West Municipal Chief Executive, expressed that the gesture was meant to show support and brotherly love towards the Muslim community. He emphasized the importance of living in harmony, peace, and unity regardless of religious affiliations. Mr. Totimeh also extended his well wishes to the Muslims for their Eid celebrations and urged them to offer prayers for the nation and the municipality, while continuing to foster good neighborly relations.

Imam Abdullah Ziz, the Imam for Baatsonaa, commended the assembly for its ongoing support of the Muslim community. He also cautioned the youth against engaging in disruptive activities during the celebrations. Imam Ziz highlighted concerns about certain behaviors, such as reckless use of motorbikes and drug abuse, which he described as disheartening and shameful to the religious leaders. He called on the youth to conduct themselves peacefully and respectfully during the festivities.

The Imam assured that the Muslim community would continue its prayers for the government, supporting efforts towards economic development.
