Accra: Tourism, Culture, and Creative Arts Minister Abla Dzifa Gomashie has met with the World Bank's Ghana Economic Transformation Project (GETP) task team to strategise on key tourism initiatives aimed at boosting economic growth. The meeting marked a significant step in strengthening collaboration between the Ministry and the World Bank to promote sustainable tourism development and job creation.According to Ghana News Agency, the discussions focused on aligning resources and long-term planning to drive impactful investments in the tourism sector. Madam Gomashie noted that the meeting was part of ongoing efforts to deepen cooperation and ensure the effective implementation of tourism-related components under the GET Project. She expressed gratitude to the World Bank for its continued partnership and emphasised the importance of working closely with key stakeholders to realise the Ministry's vision of a vibrant and inclusive tourism industry.Mr. Andres F. Garcia, Senior Economist and Team Leader for the World Bank team, reaffirmed the Bank's commitment to supporting Ghana's economic transformation through strategic investments in tourism and the creative arts. He highlighted the need for forward-thinking approaches and underscored the global demand for sustainable development partnerships.
