Accra: Madam Abla Dzifa Gomashie, the Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, has recognized Ghanaian makeup artist Roselyn Akosua Mantey for her remarkable achievement in setting the Guinness World Record for the longest makeup application marathon. Ms. Mantey made history on July 3, 2024, by applying makeup to 120 people over five days, with only a five-minute break each hour.
According to Ghana News Agency, Ms. Mantey and her team visited the Ministry to present the award to Madam Gomashie, who praised the accomplishment as a significant milestone that highlights Ghana on the global creative map. The Minister expressed the Ministry's commitment to supporting the creative arts industry, emphasizing the importance of nurturing such contemporary expressions.
