Sunyani: Ms. Yeboah Amankwah, the Member of Parliament for Sunyani West constituency in the Bono Region, has presented a 4‚¬Å¡¬€¦¡¬€š¬¦¡¬€š¬…¡¬¦¡¬€š¬…¡¬‚¬¦¡¬‚¬Å¡¬¦¡¬4 pickup vehicle and two motorbikes to the Bono Regional Police Command. She emphasized that this donation is a gesture to support the police in combating crime and enhancing the security of the region. Ms. Amankwah expressed her commitment to contributing more towards the improvement of regional security.
According to Ghana News Agency, at a brief ceremony in Sunyani, Ms. Amankwah highlighted the importance of community support in crime prevention. She urged the public to assist the police in their efforts, stating that the donation symbolizes her readiness to improve security in the Sunyani West area.
The Bono Regional Police Commander, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCOP) Yao Dogbey Tettegah, expressed gratitude to the MP. He assured that the donated vehicle and motorbikes would be utilized strictly for operational purposes, enhancing security measures and crime-fighting efforts. DCOP Tettegah emphasized that the equipment is not for personal use but will be deployed strategically to boost operational effectiveness.
Mr. Joseph Addae Akwaboa, the Bono Regional Minister, affirmed the Regional Coordinating Council's commitment to collaborating with security services to further strengthen regional security. He mentioned that the Regional Security Council is implementing measures such as the establishment of new police posts and intensified patrols in critical areas to address rising robberies in the region.
