Juapong: Mr. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Member of Parliament for North Tongu, has announced new educational initiatives to enhance access and inclusivity in the constituency. He disclosed that a new Basic School was under construction to expand educational infrastructure, while scholarship support for Zongo communities had increased by 40 percent to promote higher enrolment and retention among learners.
According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Ablakwa made the announcement during a visit to Juapong by the National Chief Imam, His Eminence Sheikh Osmanu Nuhu Sharubutu. He described the visit as a great honour and blessing, expressing gratitude to the Chief Imam for his prayers and guidance.
The MP said the presence of the 106-year-old cleric was a source of inspiration for the people of North Tongu and reaffirmed the constituency's commitment to peace, unity, and education. The visit formed part of the Chief Imam's outreach to strengthen interfaith relations and encourage the pursuit of knowledge among the youth.
