Accra: The Hong Kong 'Fluxx Awards 2025' has conferred its global prestigious 'CEO of the Year', Media and Entertainment category award on Mr Raphael Godlove Ahenu, a Ghanaian-international human rights advocate. Held in Hong Kong on June 5, 2025, the Fluxx Awards is known for recognizing and appreciating industry trailblazers and visionary leaders globally. Mr Ahenu, also the Chief Executive Officer of the Sunyani-based Global Media Foundation (GloMeF), received international recognition for his visionary and exceptional leadership and impacts in the media space globally.
According to Ghana News Agency, in an interview with the agency in Sunyani, Mr Ahenu said the GloMeF worked to fight corruption and injustice, empower marginalized communities, and promote inclusive development for a just and equitable society. 'This globally recognized accolade celebrates individuals who have demonstrated innovation, excellence, and measurable achievements in their respective industries', he stated, saying 'the award recognizes my dedication to transforming media and entertainment in Ghana'.
He said: 'This is done through powerful and compelling storytelling, advocacy journalism, and youth empowerment initiatives and that stood out among a competitive field of global nominees'. 'In fact, my recognition is not only a personal milestone, but also a proud moment for Ghana and Africa's media landscape', he stated, saying 'the recognition is a reflection of the resilience, creativity, and commitment of the entire team at GloMeF, our partners who have believed in our mission'.
He said: 'That inspires us to do more, dream bigger, and lead change through media for national and global transformation', adding that 'this remarkable achievement is expected to inspire many professionals in the media and entertainment sector to continue striving for excellence, innovation, and social impact'. Mr Ahenu's award signaled a growing acknowledgment of Africa's contributions to global media space and sets a high standard for future industry leaders and players.
