Accra: President John Dramani Mahama has, with immediate effect, revoked the appointment of Mr Edward Nana Yaw Koranteng, the Chief Executive Officer of the Minerals Income and Investment Fund. Dr Callistus Mahama, the Executive Secretary to the President, communicated this decision in a letter dated January 13, 2025, addressed to Mr Koranteng. The letter directed Mr Koranteng to hand over his responsibilities to the President's representative at the Ministry of Finance.According to Ghana News Agency, Dr Cassiel Ato Baah Forson, the Finance Minister-designate, will temporarily oversee the operations of the Fund until a new CEO is appointed. The President's statement also expressed gratitude for Mr Koranteng's service to the nation, highlighting his contributions during his tenure.
