Power shortage hits KK airport


THE National Airports Corporation says it is upgrading its transformers on substation six at the Kenneth Kaunda International Airport which will affect the terminal building at the airport.

KKIA on Wednesday suffered a one hour power shortage.

NACL managing director Robinson Misitala said in a statement that transformers on substation six were the ones supplying power to the terminal building at the airport, adding that the upgrading would carry on until today.

Misitala assured the public that all important airport operations would continue operating normally.
