Oti Region: Mr. Ahmed Muniru, the Oti Regional Security Coordinator, has cautioned the youth against crime and violence. He stated that the youth, especially party faithful, would not receive support if they engaged in criminal activities and the law catches up with them. 'Let me send a word of caution to you: you will not be spared when you commit a crime just because your government is in power,' he said.
According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Muniru, also known as Orenzo, made these remarks at a funeral to pay last respect to Madam Adiza Dawuda, former Deputy Women Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for the Akan Constituency. He mentioned that victims of violence could suffer injuries, disabilities, or even death, leading to long-term physical consequences, and that should always be avoided.
The Security Coordinator disclosed that children living in violent environments may experience disruptions in their education, leading to lower academic performance and reduced opportunities. Mr. Orenzo emphasised that no matter the situation, one should not engage in violence, as its consequences are disastrous.
