Dambai: The Oti Regional Coordinating Council (ORCC) will launch the Regional Environmental Sanitation (RESAN) Task Force on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, to promote a cleaner and healthier environment in the region. The task force will enforce environmental sanitation laws and regulations, ensuring compliance with standards and encouraging best practices across communities. It aims to improve public health, reduce risks linked to poor sanitation, and foster community participation in keeping the environment clean.
According to Ghana News Agency, the launch, to be held at the ORCC Conference Hall in Dambai, Krachi East Municipality, will bring together government officials, traditional leaders, media practitioners, and representatives of various organisations. The ORCC expects the initiative to significantly boost environmental sanitation and strengthen collective responsibility for a healthier Oti Region.
