Istanbul: The foreign ministers of the member states of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), who convened in Istanbul for the 51st session of their Council, expressed admiration for the ongoing efforts of His Majesty King Mohammed VI. As the Chairman of the Al Quds Committee, King Mohammed VI has been instrumental in safeguarding the holy sites in Al Quds Asharif.
According to Ghana News Agency, the OIC foreign ministers, in their resolution titled 'The Capital of the State of Palestine, Al Quds Asharif,' lauded the significant contributions of the Bayt Mal Al Quds Asharif Agency. This agency has been pivotal in executing development projects that benefit the residents of the holy city and bolster its resistance.
The Istanbul Declaration also acknowledged the efforts of the Al Quds Committee, under the leadership of King Mohammed VI, and its executive branch, the Bayt Mal Al Quds Asharif Agency. Their work in preserving the identity of the holy city as a symbol of tolerance and coexistence among the three monotheistic religions, as well as maintaining its legal status, was particularly noted.
The 51st Council of Foreign Ministers of OIC member states concluded on Sunday, adopting the Istanbul Declaration and several resolutions focusing on political, economic, and cultural issues pertinent to the Islamic world.
