Sunyani west: The Odomaseman Senior High School (ODASS) has introduced an annual award scheme to honor the top-performing candidate in the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) within the school.
According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. William Ohene-Adjei, the Board Chairman of the School, announced that the best performing student in the WASSCE would receive a brand-new laptop computer and relevant accessories. Additionally, the school plans to recognize the best male and female students by displaying their photographs and those of their parents.
Mr. Ohene-Adjei shared these details at a stakeholder's forum held at Odomase, which aimed to promote the integrity of the WASSCE and encourage academic discipline. The event was attended by teachers, parents, and final-year students, focusing on identifying and combating examination malpractices as the 2025 WASSCE commenced.
He advised the WASSCE candidates to maintain honesty, work independently, and avoid examination malpractices. Mr. Ohene-Adjei emphasized the importance of integrity, stating, "You are our future, and whatever you do today will shape the kind of professionals you become tomorrow."
He warned against the consequences of cheating, noting that unethical behavior in the WASSCE could lead to perpetuating such conduct in future professional roles. He encouraged students to reflect on building a better future and inspired them to have confidence and perform their best in the exams.
