Nkwanta South MCE and Youth Advocate Explore Sports Development Initiatives

Accra: Mr. Joseph Awal Antwi, the Municipal Chief Executive for Nkwanta South, has engaged in discussions with Ambassador Alhaji Salamu Amadu, a renowned youth advocate and entrepreneur, to explore potential collaborations in youth and sports development. The meeting took place in Accra, where both parties discussed the future of sports in the Nkwanta South region.

According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Antwi highlighted the urgent need for a dedicated sports complex in Nkwanta South to harness and develop the talents of young people. He pointed out that many young people in the municipality are passionate about sports, yet the lack of standard facilities limits their opportunities to progress.

Mr. Antwi emphasized that the establishment of a well-equipped sports complex would not only provide structured recreational opportunities but also help reduce youth involvement in social vices and create employment opportunities. His vision is to see the youth of Nkwanta South flourish in a supportive environment that nurtures their sporting talents.

Ambassador Alhaji Salamu Amadu, who is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Afro Arab Group of companies, commended the MCE's proactive leadership approach. He encouraged Mr. Antwi to formalize the concept through a detailed proposal, which would include technical details, potential locations, and community testimonies.

The MCE will spearhead the drafting of this formal proposal. Ambassador Amadu showed openness to reviewing the proposal and stressed the importance of continued dialogue around youth empowerment in the region.
