NGO Initiates Mechanised Borehole Project for Bibiani SHTS

Accra: The Atlantic Essential Development Incorporated, a non-governmental organisation (NGO), has taken the initiative to construct a mechanised borehole for Bibiani Senior High Technical School located in the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipality of the Western North Region.

According to Ghana News Agency, Mr Stephen Aboagye, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the organisation, stated that the project was conceived during a camp meeting with the school's authorities. Following this interaction, the Board of Directors of the organisation agreed to execute the project.

Mr Aboagye highlighted that Queens Senior High School, the region's only female second-cycle school, had previously received a similar facility. This was facilitated by a request from Ogyeahoho Yaw Gyebi II, President of the National House of Chiefs, and the Municipal Assembly.

Mr George Baidooh, the Headmaster of Bibiani SHTS, expressed his profound gratitude to the NGO, acknowledging the timely assistance provided to the school. He noted that the borehole would supply water to the entire school, including the masters' bungalows and dormitories.

The principal took the opportunity to commend the Bibiani Municipal Assembly, past students, Parents Association, and PW Mining Company for their continuous efforts in supporting the school's water supply over the years. He also committed to maintaining the new facility to ensure its longevity once completed.
