Sunyani: MTN Ghana has expressed deep sadness and shock at the devastating military helicopter crash that led to the tragic death of the two ministers of state and six others. The late Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, the Minister for Defence, and Dr. Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed, Minister for Environment, Science and Technology, died in the fatal crash, which occurred in the Adansi Akrofuom District of the Ashanti Region.
According to Ghana News Agency, MTN Ghana extended heartfelt condolences to His Excellency the President of the Republic, the Government and the people of Ghana, and to the families, friends, and colleagues of all those affected by the tragic incident. The telecommunication company emphasized the need for dignity in honoring the memories of the departed.
MTN Ghana urged the public to use social media platforms to promote messages of hope, solidarity, and compassion. A statement, signed by Nana Kofi Asare, the Acting Chief Corporate Services and Sustainability Officer of MTN Ghana, quoted Mr. Stephen Blewett, MTN Ghana's Chief Executive Officer, in making the appeal.
