National Tragedy: Afrikania Mission Condoles with Government and Families

Accra: The leadership of the Afrikania Mission says it received the news of the sudden, tragic and untimely death of the eight Ghanaians in a helicopter crash with grief shock. The victims of whom two were Cabinet Ministers, three government officials and three Military officers, died in the crash, which occurred on Wednesday 6th August, 2025 on their way to Obuasi for official assignment.

According to Ghana News Agency, a statement issued by the Mission signed by Osofo Komfo Atsu Kove, Head of Mission and copied to the Ghana News Agency, expressed heartfelt and deepest condolences to the President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, the families of the departed souls, the National Democratic Congress, and the entire Ghanaians for the loss which is described as irreplaceable.

The statement further invoked 'Mawu Sogbo Lisa' to receive the souls of the deceased and present them to the Supreme Creator. It acknowledged the victims' untimely demise while performing national duty and wished them peace in their rest.

Additionally, the Afrikania Mission's statement asked the Supreme Creator to provide the respective families with consolation and comfort in these challenging times, offering their highest condolences through prayer and spiritual support.
