Kukuom Electorates Urge President Mahama to Implement 24-Hour Economy Policy

Kukuom: Some electorates at Kukuom in the Asunafo South District of the Ahafo Region have revealed that the 24-hour economy policy influenced them to vote for President John Dramani Mahama in the 2024 General Election. They expressed high hopes for the policy's implementation, expecting it to create more jobs.

According to Ghana News Agency, the electorates noted that the growing unemployment in the district had led some youths into unproductive and unhealthy activities. In an interview, they highlighted the urgency for President Mahama to implement the economic policy and address unemployment.

Mr. Asamoah Agyemang, speaking at the Kukuom Presbyterian Primary School, reminded President Mahama of his promise to improve the poor road conditions in the area. The deplorable state of Kukuom town roads is a major concern, and residents urge the government to take swift action to maintain their confidence in the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Another electorate, Mr. Osei Kuffour, emphasized the importance of fulfilling promises to enhance health infrastructure and road networks connecting various communities. He also highlighted the need for advancing agriculture by providing farm inputs and agro-chemicals to rural farmers.

Mr. Osei noted that peasant and mix-cropping are vital for many residents' livelihoods. He called on the government to support farmers in engaging in commercial farming to boost their economic activities. Additionally, some residents voiced concerns about poor healthcare delivery due to inadequate health facilities.
