KOICA Delegation Plans Vegetable Farm Project in Adaklu

Adaklu: A delegation from the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) has called on Mr. Jerry Ameko, the Adaklu District Chief Executive, and other stakeholders at his office in Adaklu Waya. The purpose of the visit was to brief the DCE on their plans to establish a vegetable farm and its auxiliary units at Adaklu Ahunda Kpodzi in the Adaklu district.

According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Ameko praised KOICA for their continuous support for the country and specifically for Adaklu. He expressed confidence that KOICA's partnership with the district would enhance Adaklu's growth and development while expanding the local economy. Mr. Ameko remarked, "I am sure this partnership will also create sustainable jobs for the teeming unemployed youth in the district."

The DCE also extended his appreciation to the chiefs and people of Adaklu Ahunda Kpodzi for willingly providing land for the commencement of the project and assured the delegation that the land was free of litigation. Mr. Ameko emphasized that Adaklu was ready to partner with any organization or group whose actions and intents would improve the livelihood of the district's residents.

He further stated that the chiefs, landowners, and other stakeholders were prepared to release land to any investor willing to establish a business in the district. Mr. Ameko encouraged those who would be engaged in the project to ask relevant questions to gain more insight and to work diligently so that others might also benefit from the initiative.
