Keta-Anloga Sachet Water Producers Announce Price Reduction

Keta: In a bid to ease the financial burden on consumers in Keta and Anloga, Sachet Water Producers in the two areas, in the Volta Region, have announced a significant price reduction for their sachet water products. The price reduction, which will take effect from Friday, August 1, 2025, will see a bag of sachet water being sold at a reduced price from GH? 7 to GH? 5.

According to Ghana News Agency, a press release signed by Mr. Sallah Kennedy Yayra, the Assistant Secretary of Sachet Water Producers at Keta and Anloga, stated that the price reduction is a temporary measure aimed at providing relief to consumers. "We are announcing that retailers are expected to sell each sachet at 30 pesewas from Friday, August 1, until further notice," he said.

The announcement also emphasized that the price reduction is not permanent and that adjustments may occur if economic indicators are unfavorable. The association will monitor the country's economic situation and may revise their pricing strategy if necessary. The decision to reduce prices stems from economic gains the sector has experienced, prompting a desire for consumers to benefit as well.

Mr. Kwabla Dzivenu, a customer, expressed excitement over the price reduction and welcomed the development for consumers in the Keta-Anloga area, who have been dealing with the high cost of sachet water. He stated that the move is expected to bring relief to households and businesses relying on sachet water for their daily needs.

The announcement has been positively received by consumers, who anticipate benefiting from the reduced prices. The reduction is seen as a step by the Keta-Anloga Sachet Water Producers to show their commitment to providing affordable and accessible drinking water to the community.

The Sachet Water Producers encourage individuals, customers, and the public to contact Togbi Atagba, the Chairman of Valentine Water, at 0246932694 for further details. All sachet water producers are urged to comply with the directives to avoid potential penalties from the association.
