Hohoe NDC Constituency Organizer Locks Up NADMO Office Over Leadership Dispute

Hohoe: Mr. Wodey Samuel, the Hohoe Constituency Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has taken the drastic step of locking up the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) office in the municipality. He claims this action is in protest against what he perceives as an unfair decision regarding the rightful appointment for the position of Municipal Director.

According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Wodey asserts that he was initially the favored candidate for the director position, which was ultimately awarded to Mr. Raphael Kumaga, the Deputy Organizer. Mr. Wodey insists that the situation be rectified quickly to restore peace, stating that the office will remain inaccessible until the issue is resolved. The Municipal Chief Executive has not yet commented on the incident, and in the meantime, NADMO staff are unable to attend work due to the locked office.

Mr. Newton Darkey, the Hohoe Constituency Chairman of the NDC, has expressed disapproval of Mr. Wodey's actions. He explained that Mr. Wodey had previously refused the director position when it was offered and had chosen to pursue a different position instead. Mr. Darkey added that after Mr. Wodey was unsuccessful in securing the alternative role, he attempted to return to the director position, which had already been filled.
