Ho West MP Concludes Thank You Tour, Promises Development

Ho west: Mr. Emmanuel Kwasi Bedzrah, the Member of Parliament for Ho West, has concluded the second phase of his Thank You tour, assuring constituents of accelerated development under the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government. The four-day tour, which began on Saturday, August 16, 2025, ended on Tuesday, August 19, and covered the Awudome and Dzolo Traditional Areas as well as selected communities in the Dodome and Saviefe Traditional Areas.

According to Ghana News Agency, the MP was accompanied by Mr. Francis Proffer Dusey, the District Chief Executive, and constituency executives led by Mr. Delight Koku Tettey Nukomeko. They visited chiefs, elders, youth, and residents to express appreciation for their steadfast support during the 2024 elections. Speaking at the end of the tour, the MP described the experience as humbling, noting that it provided him with the opportunity to listen directly to the concerns of the people.

The MP assured the people of Ho West that with the NDC forming the government of the day, no community within the constituency would be left behind in the development agenda. He mentioned, among the priority projects outlined, the completion of all abandoned roads and the construction of a new road linking Anyirawasi to Tsibu. He further pledged that more than 50 new mechanised boreholes would be provided this year to improve access to potable water across the constituency.

Other commitments include extending electricity coverage to remaining communities, expanding and building new schools, and upgrading health facilities to improve social infrastructure. On education, the MP announced plans to offer both local and international scholarships to deserving students, adding that human capital development remained central to his vision for Ho West.

He also assured the youth that deliberate efforts would be made to create jobs in line with the NDC manifesto, stressing that employment opportunities were key to ensuring sustainable livelihoods. 'With H.E. John Dramani Mahama as President and myself as your MP, the people of Ho West can be assured of the best leadership and accelerated development,' he affirmed.

The MP expressed gratitude for the warm reception and overwhelming endorsement received throughout the tour, describing the support of his constituents as the foundation of his leadership. District Chief Executive Dusey and constituency executives commended the people for their hospitality and pledged their continuous collaboration to deliver on the promises.

The successful completion of the tour marks another step in consolidating the MP's engagement with constituents, reinforcing his commitment to accountable and inclusive governance in Ho West.
