Ho MCE Moves to Reallocate Ho Central Market Stores in Transparent Manner

According to Ghana News Agency:ccording to Ghana News Agency, Mr Adom mentioned that some individuals exploited their political connections to secure stores within the market, only to leave them unused. He stated, "Some people were promised stores and even had their pictures taken, but never received them."

Mr Adom further revealed that others obtained the stores through unofficial means, paying between GHC 250.00 and GHC 300.00, and later sub-let them at higher rates ranging from GHC 400.00 to GHC 500.00. He urged the public not to perceive the exercise as an act of political retaliation.

He emphasised that the reorganization aimed to create a fairer and more transparent system for all traders in the municipality. Mr Adom assured residents that the Assembly remained committed to addressing issues of favouritism and irregularities in the allocation of market stores.
