Accra: The 6th August 2025 Helicopter Tragedy Children's Support Fund has garnered GHS3.5 million and $20,000.00 in donations as of August 28. This fund was established to aid the children of those affected by the helicopter crash on August 6.
According to Ghana News Agency, Dr. Valerie Sawyerr, the Senior Presidential Advisor on Governmental Affairs and Coordinator of the Fund, announced that the donations have come from various individuals and organizations. The donors from August 19 to 28, 2025, include Ghana Airport Limited, Kennedy Hedoe, Peter Adongo, Mensah Michael, and Appaul Wiredu Lateef.
Additional contributors are Samuel Hodalor, Dauda Iddi, ARB Apex Bank PLC, STL Foundation, Olam Agric, Fidelity Bank Ghana, ADB Bank, GLICO General Insurance, and the National Insurance Commission.
Donations can be made to the Fund through Stanbic Bank Ghana Limited accounts at the Stanbic Heights Branch in Accra. The accounts are as follows: Ghana Cedi (GHS) Account: 9040013628372 and US Dollar (USD) Account: 9040013628534. Cheques and bank drafts should be addressed to: CHILDREN SUPPORT FUND 6825.
The list of donors will be updated and published on a weekly basis to maintain transparency.
