Hajj Village Construction: Not a Pesewa of Taxpayers’ Money Involved – Ofosu

Accra: Mr Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Presidential Spokesman and Minister of State in-charge of Government Communications, has reiterated that not a pesewa of taxpayers' money was involved in the construction of the ongoing Hajj Village. In a statement, Mr Ofosu clarified that the Hajj Village was primarily an Airport Terminal Building for check-in and pilgrim facilitation, owned and being built by the Ghana Airport Company.

According to Ghana News Agency, it is noted that no taxpayer funds have been utilized in this construction project. The project gained attention when, on Friday, February 28, President John Dramani Mahama officially commenced the construction of a modern state-of-the-art Hajj Village in Accra. The facility is anticipated to be completed within a span of two years.
