Gospel Musician Files GHC20 Million Defamation Suit Against Evangelist Agradaa

Tema: Gospel musician Gifty Adorye, also known as Empress Gifty, has filed a GHC20 million defamation suit against Patricia Asiedua, popularly known as Nana Agradaa, a fetish priestess turned evangelist. Adorye is seeking GHC20 million in damages for libel and slander.

According to Ghana News Agency, the lawsuit also includes a request for a perpetual injunction from the Tema High Court. The injunction aims to restrain Agradaa, her servants, agents, privies, and assigns from publishing the alleged defamatory words or any similar words.

The plaintiff is further seeking a directive from the court for the defendant to remove all videos and audios containing the alleged defamatory statements from her social media platforms.

In response to the lawsuit, Agradaa stated in a Facebook post that Adorye could pursue the case in court as many times as she wished, emphasizing that the court was accessible to everyone.
