GNFS College Supports Asiakwa Children’s Village with Donation

Kyebi: The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) College at Kyebi in the Eastern Region has made a significant contribution to the Asiakwa SOS Children's Village by donating assorted items to aid in the effective running of the home. This donation is part of the College's corporate social responsibility initiative, aimed at fostering stronger ties with communities within its operational area.

According to Ghana News Agency, the donation event was aligned with the activities leading up to the graduation ceremony of Cadet Intake XXIV, marking the first cohort of trainees from the newly established GNFS College. The Public Relations Unit of the College announced that the delegation leading the initiative was headed by Deputy Chief Fire Officer (DCFO) James Christian N.K. Ankrah, who serves as the Commandant. During the visit, DCFO Ankrah and his team engaged with the children, delivering messages of hope and motivation, and encouraging them to prioritize their education.

DCFO Ankrah also assured the management of the Asiakwa SOS Children's Village of the College's ongoing support, indicating plans for regular visits and the establishment of a long-term partnership with the home. The management of the Village expressed their gratitude for the donation and committed to strengthening their collaboration with the GNFS College.
