Koforidua: Madam Vivian Dougblor, Eastern Regional Sports Development Officer of the National Sports College, has advised members of the Ghana Skate to prioritise commitment over financial gain. She emphasized the importance of focusing on promoting and developing sports above any other benefits.According to Ghana News Agency, Madam Dougblor provided this guidance during a meeting with members of the Ghana Skate in her office, where the regional executives were introduced ahead of their inauguration. Mr. Johnson Gameli Kwaku Kportufe, President of Ghana Skate, highlighted the necessity of achieving development and tangible results visible to all stakeholders.Mr. Kportufe urged leaders of the Eastern Region Skate Association to prioritize the development of athletes, ensuring their well-being is at the heart of their plans for the region. The newly formed eight-member executive committee is led by Mr. Cobbina Osei Tutu Ransford as Chairman, with Mr. Thomas Sakyi as Vice Chairman, Mr. Samuel K. Gyampoh as R egional Secretary, and Mr. Ntiba William Nbanye as Regional Organizer.The committee also includes Mr. Wumbai Amos as Technical Advisor, Mr. Agyemang Prince Charles Tetteh as Trainer, Madam Priscilla Oduro Antwi as Public Relations Officer, and Madam Dorcas Teiku as Treasurer. Mr. Cobbina Ransford, the regional chairman, expressed his loyalty to the federation and commitment to advancing the sport.He extended gratitude to the Director of National Sports Authority and staff for their support, assuring them of productive collaboration aimed at developing Ghana Skate.
