Ghana Scholarship Secretariat Registrar Meets Asantehene to Seek Blessings

Kumasi: Mr. Alexander Kwaku Asafo Agyei, the newly appointed Registrar of the Ghana Scholarship Secretariat, recently paid a courtesy call on Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene, at the Manhyia Palace. The visit aimed to introduce Mr. Agyei in his new capacity and seek the Asantehene's blessings as he takes on the leadership of the Scholarship Secretariat.

According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Agyei was introduced to Otumfuo Osei Tutu II by Nana Prof. Oheneba Boachie-Adjei Woahene II, Chairman of the Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Foundation. During the meeting, the Registrar expressed his intention to consult the esteemed leader for guidance and wisdom to effectively manage the Secretariat. He assured the Asantehene of his commitment to implementing measures that would ensure the Secretariat operates efficiently for the nation's benefit.

Mr. Agyei also discussed with the Asantehene the significant financial challenges facing the Secretariat, including substantial debts that hinder its operations. He sought the Asantehene's intervention, highlighting the monarch's global influence, which could be instrumental in mobilizing necessary funds for the Secretariat's smooth functioning.

The Registrar was accompanied by a delegation comprising Bartholomew Nambazing (Deputy Registrar), Joseph Essah (Deputy Director, Administration), Priscila Boadi (Deputy Director, Human Resources), and Setor Adanuvor (Deputy Director, Operations).
