According to Ghana News Agency:ccording to Ghana News Agency, Rev. Dr. Lawson Kwaku Dzanku, Clerk of the General Assembly of the Church, expressed deep sorrow over the loss, describing it as a significant blow to the Church, the Volta region, Ghana, and the wider ecumenical community. Dr. Dzanku emphasized that the Very Reverend Ledo was a repository of knowledge and a valuable asset to the Church. On behalf of the Church, he extended condolences to the bereaved family.
The Very Reverend Ledo was originally from Klefe in the Ho Municipality and dedicated several decades to the Church, serving as its Moderator from January 1993 to January 2001. His journey in religious service began after completing his education at Jasikan Training College in 1966, followed by theological training at Trinity College, now known as Trinity Theological Seminary in Accra, in 1972. Ordained as a Minister on August 8, 1976, he served in various roles before furthering his education with a Master's degree from Princeton University in the United States.
Upon returning to Ghana, he contributed to the Church's seminary at Peki and was eventually elected as the tenth Moderator of the EPCG. Even after retirement, he continued to serve the Church in various capacities, including as Chairman of the EPCG University Fundraising Committee. In 2015, he was honored by the Volta Heroes Foundation for his role in establishing the E. P. University in Ho, highlighting his inspirational influence on others.
The Very Reverend Ledo is survived by his wife, Mrs. Esther Ledo, two sons, and a daughter. Funeral arrangements will be announced by the family in due course.
