Family and Friends Group Supports New Horizon Foundation for the Blind with Generous Donation

Accra: Family and Friends, a social group based in Shai Hills in the Shai Osudoku District of the Greater Accra Region, has made a significant donation of assorted items to the New Horizon Foundation for the Blind in Ho.

According to Ghana News Agency, the donation comprised bags of rice, beans, gari, sachet water, toiletries, soap, and used clothing. Mr. Samuel Barasu, the leader of the group, expressed that the aim of the donation was to bring joy to the children at the Foundation's centre. He emphasized the Foundation's commitment to providing a high-quality education to children with visual impairments.

Mr. Barasu also encouraged society to support individuals with disabilities, highlighting their potential as vital to societal progress.

The Director of the Foundation, Mr. Eric Kwabla Ofori, expressed gratitude to the group for their support and assured that the donated items would be used responsibly for the benefit of the children. He reaffirmed the centre's dedication to helping visually impaired children discover their innate talents for the benefit of both society and themselves.

Mr. Ofori also called on other charitable organizations and individuals to consider offering similar support to the Foundation.
