Education Director Assures Safety of BECE Candidates in Nkwanta South

Nkwanta South: Mr. Jonathan Korsinah, the Municipal Director of Education in the Nkwanta South Municipality, has assured parents that their wards will be safe during the upcoming Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) in the Municipality.

According to Ghana News Agency, a total of 1,911 candidates, comprising 863 females and 1,048 males, will sit for the exams across six designated centres. These centres include Nkwanta SHS 'A', Nkwanta Community SHTS, Kyabobo Girls School, Ntruboman SHS, Bonakye Basic School, and Kecheibi Basic School.

A total of 77 basic schools have registered for this year's BECE in the Municipality. These schools consist of 66 public schools and 11 private schools. Mr. Korsinah has urged parents to ensure their children are equipped with the necessary materials for the exams.

He also assured parents that security personnel are in place to protect the candidates, ensuring a smooth and secure examination process. "With preparations in full swing, candidates are expected to take their exams without any disruptions," he said.

Mr. Korsinah further advised candidates to avoid any form of examination malpractice and to focus on their studies instead.
