Tema: The Tema Metropolitan Assembly has confirmed Ms Ebi Bright as the first female Tema Metropolitan Chief Executive. Ms. Bright secured her position by receiving 28 yes votes, which represents 90.3 percent of the total 31 votes cast, with three assembly members voting against her.
According to Ghana News Agency, in her acceptance speech, Ms. Bright expressed gratitude towards President John Dramani Mahama and the assembly members for their support and endorsement. She pledged to work diligently to transform the Tema metropolis into a hub for industry, economy, and social activities.
Ms. Bright outlined her plans to address essential infrastructure needs, including street lighting, market facilities, road networks, and other social amenities, aiming to ensure a better quality of life for residents. She appealed to the public for their support in her mission to transform Tema and committed to addressing the various community issues within her first 100 days in office.
