Accra: Dr. Paul Kofi Fynn, Chancellor of Wisconsin International University College, has been honoured with a Grand Medal Award for his contributions in media and education. The honour recognizes his leadership, which has transformed Wisconsin International University College, Ghana, into one of the nation's respected tertiary institutions.According to Ghana News Agency, Dr. Fynn was among distinguished Ghanaians acknowledged by President Akufo-Addo for their dedicated service at the 2024 National Honours and Awards ceremony held at the Accra International Conference Center on December 30, 2024. Under Dr. Fynn's guidance, the university made strides in innovation, academic excellence, and community development, marking a year of achievements for Dr. Fynn and the institution.In 2024, Dr. Fynn also received a Lifetime Achievement Award in Ghana and an Honorary Doctorate from Iringa University in Tanzania, affirming his legacy in education and leadership. The institution further won the Ghana Business Award for Best Education Institution and the Cybersecurity Authority Award for Best Institutional Collaboration.The 2024 National Honours and Awards ceremony was attended by dignitaries including Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Chief Justice Gertrude Torkornoo, and Ministers of State. Vice President Dr. Bawumia received the Order of the Star of Ghana, highlighting the event's prominence.In his acceptance speech, Dr. Fynn expressed gratitude to the President and the people of Ghana, dedicating the award to the staff, students, and alumni of Wisconsin International University College, Ghana. He credited their collective efforts for the institution's excellence.
