Gaza city: Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip again claimed dozens more lives on Wednesday, as Israel continues its offensive in Gaza City.
According to Ghana News Agency, the WAFA news agency reported that at least 45 people had been killed since the morning, including 32 in Gaza City. The victims reportedly include a pregnant woman.
The Israeli army announced that it had targeted more than 150 sites in Gaza City over the past two days, focusing on what it described as 'terrorists' and 'military structures.' Israel has been conducting a major ground offensive in the city since Monday night. An independent commission of inquiry from the UN Human Rights Council stated on Tuesday that Israel is committing genocide against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. The three-member commission determined that four of the five genocidal acts listed in the 1948 UN Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide have been carried out since October 7, 2023.
Israel denies the accusations of genocide and instead accuses the Islamist group Hamas of committing genocide through the terrorist attacks it conducted on October 7.
